Paris
A fully customised kitchen, meticulously crafted in our workshop in Monteux, near Avignon in the heart of Provence.
This particular creation was designed for an exceptional project in Paris, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Installed in a private mansion, the kitchen was tailored to accommodate architectural constraints, such as high ceilings, ventilation ducts, and the existing La Cornue sink unit and range.
The result is a harmonious blend of bleached wood, marble, and enamel—each material enhancing the others. Practicality was at the forefront of the design, ensuring an effortless, idyllic experience for its users. Nothing was left to chance; every detail exudes understated sophistication. While stunning in its elegance, this kitchen remains true to its primary function—a space for cooking, creativity, and shared moments.
The design plays with contrasts, balancing color and structure. The deep blue accents of the La Cornue range and sink unit subtly define the preparation zones while softening the omnipresence of wood from floor to ceiling. Clean, elongated vertical and horizontal lines create a sense of depth and spaciousness.
Maximising storage was a priority, with cabinetry extending from floor to ceiling. The custom-made upper cabinets, reaching 1.70m in height, align seamlessly with the intricately molded ceiling cornice.
A magnificent marble countertop and backsplash were tailored to fit the kitchen’s architectural features and technical constraints, as the space is located on an upper floor. These elements discreetly conceal electrical wiring and plumbing, while the custom-built lower and upper cabinets adapt to the room’s structure, ensuring a flawless aesthetic without revealing the underlying challenges.
The stone floor, adorned with cabochon inlays, radiates light and echoes the refined elegance of 18th-century interiors.
Soft, ambient lighting enhances the space. Mirrors in the dining nook capture and reflect light, creating a star-like glow from the contemporary pendant lamp above the marble table. This decorative ensemble contributes to the sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere of the dining area. The custom-built, curved bench features integrated storage compartments, accessed via a lift-up seat, offering both practicality and comfort. With its neutral, timeless tones and generous curves, this cozy nook invites relaxation and conviviality.
Optimised Storage & Craftsmanship
This bespoke, high-end kitchen was designed with intelligent storage solutions in mind. The handcrafted upper cabinets, extending to the ceiling, feature wooden shelving on adjustable rails, allowing flexible organization. The tall cabinets provide ample storage, while the lower units are equipped with numerous drawers and solid oak dovetail-jointed sliding trays for cookware.
A special feature beneath the built-in microwave is a dedicated silverware storage unit. It consists of multiple small drawers lined with anti-tarnish felt, designed to slow the oxidation of silver cutlery while offering optimal protection.
Seamless Integration of Appliances
The kitchen was designed around the existing La Cornue range, rotisserie, and sink unit, ensuring a cohesive and functional layout. High-end appliances are seamlessly integrated, including a SUB ZERO drawer refrigerator concealed behind custom wood-paneled fronts, as well as a LIEBHERR refrigerator and freezer. A built-in LIEBHERR wine preservation unit, discreetly tucked under the counter, keeps a curated selection of bottles within easy reach. For dishwashing, a fully integrated Miele dishwasher was the natural choice, blending effortlessly into the design.
Every element of this Parisian kitchen reflects meticulous craftsmanship, timeless elegance, and an uncompromising commitment to functionality.
